August 2026 Golden Headset Award Winner – Liz Everidge

“I would like to nominate Liz Everidge for her exceptional dedication to the 911 profession and to Davidson County 911. Throughout her career, Liz has earned a reputation for being the telecommunicator who somehow always seems to find herself handling the center’s most challenging, fast-paced, and complex incidents. While others may joke that difficult calls have a way of finding her, the reality is that she manages every one of them with remarkable composure, sound judgment, and professionalism. Her knowledge, experience, and ability to remain calm under pressure make her a trusted resource for both her coworkers and the field units we serve. Beyond her technical abilities, Liz is always willing to help those around her, whether that means mentoring a coworker, lending a hand during a difficult shift, or simply being someone others know they can count on. Her dedication to her family, her teammates, and the citizens of Davidson County reflects the very best of the 911 profession. She is an outstanding representative of our center and is highly deserving of this recognition.”
