Dispatchers Need Uninterrupted Service
With an estimated 240 million 911 calls happening across the US every year, every second counts when dispatching responders to an emergency situation. What happens when the network goes down? Emergency calls don’t stop coming in, so dispatchers scramble for pen and paper, knowing that every second is critical during downtime. Dispatchers also know they have to play catch up with data input when connectivity is restored.
Caliber Public Safety develops the only Computer Aided Dispatch software that builds in “disconnected operations” as a standard feature. What does this mean for you and your Dispatchers? It means you never have to revert back to pen and paper; you just keep working with the ability to still create calls, assign and track your units, add vehicles, and add comments to your calls from your local workstation. Once connection is restored, the workstations and server synchronize automatically. There’s nothing special you need to do and no CAD “catch-up” is required when the server is available again. The focus on saving lives and property continues, uninterrupted.
Another Caliber innovation is that we make your data work for you! With our system, all queries for NCIC state data are returned in the same format regardless of state. This includes persons, vehicles, articles, and guns. All data is in the same place, every time, no matter the origin of the information. First responders get the information they need much quicker because they don’t have to hunt for it.
Dedicated GIS Department
Caliber has its own full-spectrum dedicated GIS department. By leveraging Caliber’s GIS Services, there is no need to hire a third party or allocate internal resources to build accurate maps necessary for displaying real-time unit and incident information. Let us map out your details!
Our Computer Aided Dispatch software enables dispatchers, responders, and commanders to collaborate in real-time, across agency, discipline, and location boundaries. Using configurable workflow options, administrators gain the ability to optimize speed and accuracy, promote best practices and assure compliance with local policies.
